When adding account associations, you'll need to enter them in Portal 3.0 separately from SFDC, as Portal 3.0 has a distinct and more generic hierarchy.
This should be done ideally as soon as the child account is added to Portal 3.0 or anytime before creating the campaign - we have specific campaign setup rules for Hyatt and Choice customers, and establishing the correct parent/child association in Portal will ensure that these rules are applied when creating the campaign.
- How to set up parent/child association in Portal:
- In Portal 3.0, navigate to the account page of the child account and click on the ‘Add Association’ button to successfully select the parent (‘Choice Hotels International’ or ‘Hyatt Hotels Corporation’).
- If you have an intermediary parent, such as ‘APAC Hyatt Hotels’, whose parent is ‘Hyatt Hotels Corporation’, this setup is correct. As long as the ultimate parent in the hierarchy is ‘Hyatt Hotels Corporation’ or ‘Choice Hotels International’’, the association will function as intended.
- Additional configurations:
- Configurations specific to Hyatt or Choice are crucial for not breaking contractual agreements. Please make sure to set up exclusion audiences and any other minor campaign configurations as required.
